It's been a crazy year!
Ok, so I know you haven't heard from us for awhile. We have been so busy! As I said in one of my last posts, Mike has has a really hard time finding a job. We traveled so much this summer looking for work. It was really hard living at my parents house, not because they haven't been wonderful, but it was just really hard not having our own place. Not to mention living out of boxes for almost a year! So as I am sure many people have felt at sometime in their lives, Mike felt that he needed to go home to Oregon, back to familiar surroundings. He felt that he would have a much better chance at finding a job. So we said goodbye to sunny California in exchange for rainy, but beautiful Oregon. Well, the Lord truly blessed us and we now have a place to live. Mike's brother and his family recently moved out of Mike's mom's farmhouse, which they have rented for the past several years. So she agreed to rent it to us in exchange for some remodeling and repair work on the house. Mike is currently delivering pizzas for Godfather's and is working on getting a job as a graphic designer. It has been a tough year and we appreciate all the prayers on our behalf. We know somehow things will work out!
This is a picture of the front of the house before we started to work on it. We painted the stairs and deck and added some cute curtains in the windows. We have also started on landscaping and stuff, but there is still a lot left to be done. It is an old house, from the 20's or something, and it needs a lot of work. But isn't it cute?
One of the nice things about the place is the huge living and dining rooms. The kids (and Mike of course) love it!

That looks like such a fun house! Good luck with everything, you guys! I'm glad you have a good place (of your own) to live. That really makes a difference.
Love ya,
Anna
