California Adventure

In July we went with my parents to California Adventure at Disneyland for the first time. It was so much fun! There are a lot of neat rides and attractions there and it is definitely worth checking out.


Elijah and Danny enjoyed meeting Flik and Princess Atta in Bugs Land. Elijah talked about Flik for weeks after.


Bug Land was great because it has a bunch of little rides for younger kids. Elijah really enjoyed Flik's Flyers and the Bumper cars, below.
He was just tall enough for the bumper cars, but unfortunately a few inches short for our favorite ride, Soarin' over California.
He was so excited to meet Goofy, we had a hard time getting him and Danny to look at the camera when we met the costume characters because they were so interested in looking at the character.




At the end of the day we stayed for the Electrical Light Parade. Neither Mike or I have seen it since we were kids and it was just as fun as we remembered it. Elijah and Danny both loved all the lights and music. They both got a lot of attention from the characters in the parade. Two of the snails came right up to Elijah and "talked" to him in their mechanical voices and then bowed to him. Cinderella looked right at both of them and blew them kisses. And Dopey shook Elijah's hand. We all had a lot of fun.
